Here are the dates for the Summer Golf Course Closures. Once again we will be closing each golf course for a period of five weeks at a time. We use this time to complete our cultural practices like aerification, verticutting, and topdressing. We will cover each area more in depth as we approach the summer season.

Green Golf Course
I'm sure many of you have noticed the increase in green out on the golf courses over the past week. Bermudagrass, which is found throughout both golf courses, thrives when temperatures are high. The increase in temperatures over the past week have had a dramatic improvement on the appearance of the golf course.
The warmer temperatures will also have a positive impact on cart traffic recovery, divot recovery, and also ball mark recovery on the putting greens. This is due to increased bermudagrass growth due to warmer temperatures.
These increases in temperatures are pretty normal for March, but after a cooler than normal winter, much more welcomed. We look forward to the return of bermudagrass growth, and providing optimum playing conditions the remainder of the 08/09 Season.
